Paul Preaches in Rome

Paul Preaches in Rome Finally the moment we have been waiting for. Apostle Paul arrives in Rome as God had promised. It was a long journey of many trials, tribulations, storms and detours. In all, God prevailed for the one purpose of fulfilling His word in Acts 1: 8 “8But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth." Remember this is the primary theme and purpose of the Book of Acts – to show how this scripture was fulfilled and today it is still being fulfilled. God’s salvation in the person of Jesus Christ had come to all the world and we are recipients and witnesses. This is the gospel that Apostles Peter, Paul and others preached. Acts 28: 11-31 11After three months we put out to sea in a ship that had wintered in the island. It was an Alexandrian ship with the figurehead of the twin gods Castor and Pollux. 12We put in at Syracuse and stayed there three days.

Divine Detour to Malta en-route to Rome

Divine Detour to Malta en-route to Rome Detours are common during road constructions and/or auto accidents on the road. You must have experienced a road detour as I just described. Usually, you find out things and neighborhoods you never knew existed. On detours, you observe people, houses and the difference from the usual route while you are still focused on reaching your destination. Detours usually add more time and extra distance to the journey. Life has a way of giving us minor and major detours. What we consider detours are usually included in God’s plan for us and I will call them Devine Detours. The Lord may not initiate them but He can allow divine detours. Apostle Paul’s ship has crashed and now they find out that they landed in the island of Malta. Surprise for God? Not at all! Yes for Paul and the other 275 passengers who were in the ship. Remember that the entire ship and cargo was lost except the people in the storm and shipwreck. I bet you they were happy to be alive. Li

A Wild Ride to Rome

A Wild Ride to Rome Paul is now heading to Rome since he appealed to Caesar. It would be a very difficult journey involving ship wreck and almost loss of lives. But God has promised to get Paul to Rome. Are you in a storm or about to enter one or have come out of one? Please read on. Acts 27 (Please read the entire chapter) 9Much time had been lost, and sailing had already become dangerous because by now it was after the Fast.[a] So Paul warned them, 10"Men, I can see that our voyage is going to be disastrous and bring great loss to ship and cargo, and to our own lives also." 11But the centurion, instead of listening to what Paul said, followed the advice of the pilot and of the owner of the ship. 12Since the harbor was unsuitable to winter in, the majority decided that we should sail on, hoping to reach Phoenix and winter there. This was a harbor in Crete, facing both southwest and northwest. 13When a gentle south wind began to blow, they thought they had obtaine
