Is There Still HOPE?

Dear Saints: Is there still HOPE in this world of injustice, racism, diseases, hatred, brutality, hunger, corruption and etc.? Like the psalmist, I almost slipped and nearly losing HOPE, BUT… “When I thought how to understand this, It was too painful for me—17 Until I went into the sanctuary of God; Then I understood their end... Whom have I in heaven but You? And there is none upon earth that I desire besides You. 26 My flesh and my heart fail; But God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. ” Psalm 73:16-17; 25-26. God alone and His presence with us makes sense in these days and hours as we see the evils of human kind unfold around us. It is still “too painful for me” to watch and understand why George Floyd was pinned on his neck to die in front of the whole world. Sodom and Gomorrah is looking more saintly than our generation. Lord, right now please allow me into your sanctuary, into your presence to see your disfigurement, your bruises, your hands and feet with

Pull Down Strongholds By God's Might

Good Morning Saints: The enemy fights us in the mind because he cannot destroy us in the spirit where Christ reigns supreme in us. If the devil can mess up your thoughts, then you begin to focus less on what God’s mighty hand can do and focus more on what you can do. Apart from Christ, you can do nothing (John 15:5). Deal with the devil by pulling down every strongholds of the mind that diminishes the truth of God as the only TRUTH, Jesus Christ. We are not fighting people but the Lord who defeated the devil fights for us. Let’s pray and love people and let the power of God go after the devil behind people’s mean and destructive behaviors. What lies is Satan speaking to you today? Have you subjected them to the TRUTH of Christ who loves you and that nothing can separate you from the love of God in Christ? 2 Corinthians 10:3-7: “3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. 4 For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling

"The Days Are Evil" Redeem the Time

Dear Saints: The days have been evil not just in our time but since Adam and Eve disobeyed God by not trusting God and wanting to be God themselves. The Lord who made them was no longer sufficient for them, so they wanted more. Nothing has changed. The days are still evil. People are still making themselves their own gods. Are you your own god evidenced by total lack of faith and trust in Christ? Thank God He did not leave us alone to escape the evil days by our own ingenuity and smartness. We thank God for our Savior Jesus who has transformed us from darkness to be light in this world. We are not afraid of the evil days for we are confident in the Lord because greater is He (God the Holy Spirit) who is in us than he (the devil) who is in the world. (1 John 4:4). We must therefore understand the times we live in and redeem it for the glory of God. We do not run from the darkness but run to it and the light of Jesus in us will shine in the darkness. Darkness disappears when ligh

Mind Your Own Business - "Follow Me"

Dear Saints: Yes, mind your own business. “Follow Me”. You didn’t hear it from me but from Jesus. Stop probing into matters that do not concern you. This is what Jesus told Peter. He is saying the same to you and me. The art of comparison has been going on for a long time. Cain compared himself to his brother Abel and became jealous and killed him. God has given each of us our own gifts and assignments and we better keep our eyes focused on Him and then do what He tells us. John 21:17-21 (Please read the entire chapter of John 21) : Jesus said to him [Peter], “Feed My sheep. 18 Most assuredly, I say to you, when you were younger, you girded yourself and walked where you wished; but when you are old, you will stretch out your hands, and another will gird you and carry you where you do not wish.” 19 This He spoke, signifying by what death he would glorify God. And when He had spoken this, He said to him, “Follow Me.” 20 Then Peter, turning around, saw the disciple whom Jesus l

Going Fishing?

Dear Saints: Okay, the lockdown is almost over and will soon be over by God’s grace. We thank God! And now are you going fishing? That’s what Peter and some of the disciples did. Please read the entire chapter of John 21. What is your response to this COVID-19 season and after? We are all in this together but our reactions and responses are all going to be different. We will be tempted (out of frustration, boredom or perceived needs) to resort to what we are previously used to doing. Peter and others were bored and frustrated and they went fishing. They were equally jobless and wanting to make a living like most of us. The disciples have been with Jesus for three years. He has been crucified, buried and risen from the dead. Jesus has already appeared to the disciples twice in their lockdown. It seems like the disciples are forgetting the three years and the many words Jesus planted in them. In fact the disciples were grieving. We must allow ourselves to grieve the COVID-19
