Love Evidence of Faith

Love Evidence of Faith What is the evidence and is there really an evidence for a new life in Christ? If you have trusted in, believed in Christ (which is our faith), how would others know that you have? If Apostle Paul could refer to evidence should we not refer to such and expect such from others and of ourselves. Paul had been documenting for the Ephesian Church (and I would say all Churches) the great spiritual blessings we have in God. At this time, he is writing but he was also with the Ephesians in person to see the evidence. He had lived with the people for almost 2 year? (See Acts 19). Paul knew what he was talking about when he said the following in the process of praying for the Ephesians: “15 Therefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all the saints, 16 do not cease to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers” Ephesians 1:15 What is this love for all the saints? If you cannot stand the bride of Christ, how can

God's Mystery Master Plan Revealed

God’s Mystery Master Plan Revealed There are many things about God He has chosen not to reveal to us. However, a whole book has been dedicated to His will and plan – the Bible. God has a master plan. He has chosen to reveal it to us - His Church Family. Listen to Paul in Ephesians 1:1-10: 7 In Him (Christ) we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace 8 which He made to abound toward us in all wisdom and prudence, 9 having made known to us the mystery of His will, according to His good pleasure which He purposed in Himself, 10 that in the dispensation of the fullness of the times He might gather together in one all things in Christ, both[a] which are in heaven and which are on earth—in Him. What in the world is Paul talking about – the mystery of His will made known? Our first observation is that the mystery revelation is placed right behind redemption by His blood and the forgiveness of our sins according to His grace. Th

Holy Spirit Sealed - Our Spiritual Blessing Part 3

Holy Spirit Sealed – Our Spiritual Blessing Part 3 What good does it do you if your old car that have gone through major transformation with brand new body and painting still has the same old engine that would not start the car (with oil leaks all over the floor). For your car transformation to be complete, you need a brand new engine that can run the car. It does not matter how beautiful the new body and paint job is on your old car and it does not matter how much bragging about the new body you do. Without a brand new engine, you are going nowhere except to look pretty in the car garage. You will never be driven to be a functioning, useful car to the owner. Folks, you and I are like the reformed, transformed old car. We need a brand new engine to be drivable and fulfill our purpose. We need the Holy Spirit of God – the “core engine” of the new life in Christ. The Holy Spirit, the third person of the God-head is the certification and validation that we now belong to Christ. Li

Redemption and Forgiveness - Our Spiritual Blessing Part 2

We continue with our study of Paul’s letter to the Ephesians. We learn of the other “Spiritual Blessings” we have been blessed with in Christ; if and when we believe in Him and have trusted Christ as our Lord and Savior. We focus on “In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace 8 which He made to abound toward us in all wisdom and prudence” (Ephesians 1:7-8) . What a blessing! We have been “redeemed” or “bought back” ( as like in slavery to sin and Satan) through the precious blood of Jesus. What a high price to pay by God through His Son. We have also been “forgiven” by the “riches of God’s grace”. Riches of His grace here implying “in-exhaustible”, “more than abundant”. God has been more than generous with us. Every sin we have sinned and yet to sin have been forgiven by His grace. It calls for continues praise and thanksgiving to our God. Have your sins been forgiven? You better make sure. Let us note that God did

Blessed with All Spiritual Blessing - Part 1

Blessed with All Spiritual Blessing – Part 1 We all love blessings. The word blessing implies we are getting something free that we have not worked for. Webster defines the word bless as follows: 1. To make holy by religious rite: sanctify to invoke divine favor on, to honor as holy, glorify to confer well-being or prosperity on, to endow as with talent. From bless we get blessings, the act of one who blesses and something that promotes happiness, well-being or prosperity. Blessing also implies praise as in ‘Bless the Lord O my soul”. In Ephesians 1, Paul makes this all-encompassing proclamation: Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love, having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, to the pra
