Rest in Jesus

Come to Jesus and Get Rest The fact that the world around us is falling apart is no news and surprise to God. When you watch the news and see the chaos in the world and in individual lives including ours, you may conclude that God does not care. If He is God, how could He allow such wickedness and calamities to happen? Those who do not know God arrive at such conclusions and even those who do know him sometimes wander off asking similar questions. Do you have enough trouble in your life and in the lives of people around you? What we need is true rest and it comes to us and to anyone else by revelation of the Father through his Son. Listen to Jesus: 27 All things have been delivered to Me by My Father, and no one knows the Son except the Father. Nor does anyone know the Father except the Son, and the one to whom the Son wills to reveal Him. 28 Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gent

Jesus, a Friend of Sinners

Jesus, a Friend of Sinners Who are your friends? Who would people say are your friends? Will people know us because we only hang out with just “Christians”? Do you have friends or are acquainted with people of other faiths and beliefs – Moslems, Hindus, Buddhists, and the new category of the NONES – people who do not have any religion and are not interested in religion; the “bad” boys and girls ? Jesus was rightly accused as follows: ’19 The Son of Man came eating and drinking, and they say, ‘Look, a glutton and a winebibber, a friend of tax collectors and sinners!’ Matthew 11:19. It is time to get out of our “Christian bubble” and to stop speaking our language, the “Christianese”. We must go where the "sinners" are and mingle with them because we used to be one of them until Christ found us using someone. Let us become intentional about getting to know people who don’t think like us and act like us. Jesus came for sinners not the self-righteous. Jesus lives in us

Not loving Self more than Christ and Confessing Him to All

Not loving Self more than Christ and Confessing Him to All Jesus said things that make you to love him or hate him. Jesus is in our face and speaks truth that he does not mince words. If we are Jesus’ disciples, we must deal with his truth as He confronts us. There are many of such but here are two: 1. “37 He who loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me. And he who loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me. 38 And he who does not take his cross and follow after Me is not worthy of Me. 39 He who finds his life will lose it, and he who loses his life for My sake will find it. Matthew 10:37-39 2. 32 “Therefore whoever confesses Me before men, him I will also confess before My Father who is in heaven. 33 But whoever denies Me before men, him I will also deny before My Father who is in heaven. Do you think Jesus is serious when He says if you don’t confess Him (tell all about who He is and His love shed on the Cross for our sins), He will not confess you b
