The Savior is Born – Merry Christmas! Christmas is not for all – Shocking? A savior only comes to save. Save from what? Christ the Messiah came to save us from the wrath and judgment of God. Only God can save us from Himself. The miracle of Christmas is that I recognize by the mercy and grace (favor) of God that I am a sinner needing a Savior. Shocking! Christ did not come for all but only for sinners. 14 “Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.” Luke 11:14. It is goodwill to people that are favored by God to know that they are sinners (the poor in spirit). How can this be? Something Bigger than You I love Christmas. The impossibilities happen especially if you are a child or childlike. My kids love Christmas. The impossible happen for them. For example, one day they are here in the States; the next day they are thousands of miles away in another continent Africa. Last year, I told them we were going to Nigeria for Christmas. They asked some questions but overall they got excited and expected it. When I informed my children, I was just telling them what mom and dad have already decided to do. The “S” Word I am not cursing today or ever in this forum or any other. We are talking about the dreaded word in the society and unfortunately in the Church. The “S” word is submit and submitting. There are ongoing demonstrations all across the major cites of USA for justice. "I can't breathe" because I am too proud to submit in the first place. Was excessive force used on Eric Garner? Based on the video, yes. This is why many are crying for justice. However, we must never forget the root of it all - pride and lack of humility and submission. We must all speak to that as well.
