Have you Passed from Death to Life? As we celebrate this Easter, we need to make clear and reassured of what we are celebrating. People feel sorry for Jesus and weep for the events that led to the crucifixion and resurrection of Christ. Feelings are good but not enough. “27 And a great multitude of the people followed Him, and women who also mourned and lamented Him. 28 But Jesus, turning to them, said, “Daughters of Jerusalem, do not weep for Me, but weep for yourselves and for your children.” (Luke 23:27-28). The real issue is whether we have “passed from death to life”. “24 “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life” (John 5:24). You would think that with all the miracles we have observed, heard about and witnessed in our lives and those of others, we would just believe in God without question and doubts. If fact, there should not be anyone who does not believe in God. There have been many miraculous stories of our time where thousands were saved from natural disasters. There was the earthquake of Haiti where many were recovered after more than a week under rubbles and they lived. There are the recent miracles from Sandy storm that hit east coast of USA. Worship In Spirit and Truth I recently bought Microsoft Office 2010 software on EBay. It was advertised for $86 and was to ship from Florida within 14 days. I waited and waited for about a month and it finally arrived. I was deceived. The product was shipped from China and it was made in Singapore. I tried to install it and found that the product key was fake and not an authorized official Microsoft product key for activation. I am now working with EBay to get my full refund. It is now obvious that I was dealing with a different “spirit” and no “truth” whatsoever on this EBay transaction. Have you been duped/deceived before? Refused CPR Sin has separated humans from our relationship with God our creator. About two weeks ago in California, a nurse refused to perform CPR (Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation) on a dying elderly woman and she never regained consciousness and died. His Disciples Believed My son Jonathan (7 years) would often ask me, “Where is God? Who Are You? I have a confession to make. I had been struggling and negotiating with God and finding reasons not to write this blog after my sabbatical. Well, I was woken up by the death of my extended cousin last week. My cousin CY had been ill for some months but the call on Friday, March 1, 2013 saddened me and at the same time jolted me to action. You see, I did not have a chance to speak with my cousin in his last months and days. But he used to read my blog and will occasionally send emails to thank and encourage me. I am hoping that my cousin made peace with God and that I will see him at the resurrection. I am now writing in memory of him and for God’s glory who has given me a second chance to be obedient. That You May Believe On Friday, March 1, 2013, CNN reported the following: “A Florida man fell into a sinkhole that opened suddenly Thursday night beneath the bedroom of his suburban Tampa home, calling out to his brother for help as he fell, the brother said Friday. "I ran toward my brother's bedroom because I heard my brother scream," Jeremy Bush told CNN's "AC360." "Everything was gone. My brother's bed, my brother's dresser, my brother's TV.
