Revenge Is Sweet. Don't Taste It.

Dear Saints, Repay Evil With Good. As we continue our study of 1 Peter 3, apostle Peter speaks to all of us, not just husbands and wives, to love and submit to one another. We must keep reminding ourselves of what Peter said previously:   " Since you have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit in sincere love of the brethren, love one another fervently with a pure heart,  23  having been born again , not of corruptible seed but incorruptible, through the word of God which lives and abides forever."  1 Peter 1:22-23.  Our faith and new birth in the Spirit is the foundation of the grace on which we stand. Everything in our lives flows from our new life in Christ - we are born again by the  Spirit . We must never forget; otherwise, we start thinking we can do anything with our strength. "You must be born again," said Jesus. Now let's continue again from 1 Peter 3:8-9: 8  Finally , all  of you  be  of one mind, having compassion for one another;

God's Purpose In Your Marriage - Love & Submit Part 2

  Dear Saints, "If someone says, "I love God, and hates his brother[sister], he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen?" 1 John 4:20. Ladies and gentlemen, the one person you have seen for sure is your husband or wife. God is making you and me like Christ in marriage to attract others (unbelieving spouse, children, etc.) to Christ. That's the big picture. Let's continue our study of 1 Peter 3 on the dreaded marriage topic and God's purpose in our marriages. Last week, Apostle Peter first addressed the wives. I don't know why both Paul and Peter start with the instruction for wives. Maybe the wives are easier to reach. Husbands, are we thick headed? Anyway, here is Peter giving it raw to the husbands: "7  Husbands, likewise, dwell with  them  with understanding, giving honor to the wife, as to the weaker vessel, and as  being  heirs together of the grace of life, that your prayers may

God's Purpose In Your Marriage - Love & Submit Part 1

Dear Saints, As I took my early morning walk, I was reminded of Satan’s relentless effort to destroy God’s ordained relationships, especially marriage/family. I walked by my two neighbors in a relationship the Bible calls an abomination against God. I have come to love, pray and be friendly to these two people so that God will have mercy and pour His grace on them for salvation. God ordained and instituted marriage from the beginning between Adam and Eve, and not Adam and Steve. USA’s laws and some other countries recognize Adam and Steve. We respect that, but it is not godly and righteous for any nation. Adam and Eve sinned and disobeyed God, and the attack on marriage started. We have all sinned, and we need God’s mercy and grace. Marriage/family is part of God's design and amplification of His plan of salvation, hence Christ's love for the church and her submission to Christ. Trust/faith in God is the only means for our salvation, relationship with God, and marriage/family r
