Allow Jesus to Take You Aside for Truth Have you been taken aside and spoken to by Jesus? There must come a time when every follower of Christ must be taken aside by Jesus. When Christ takes you aside, He will speak the ultimate truth to you that will rock the foundation of your life. It will not be once but as many as necessary. Jesus will speak the truth to you until you understand the truth which will set you free. In our study today, Matthew 20, Jesus took His disciples aside and for the third time tells them of his impending death on the cross. The first time, the disciples did not get it. Peter in essence spoke for all reflecting our typical reaction. “22 Then Peter took Him aside and began to rebuke Him, saying, “Far be it from You, Lord; this shall not happen to You!” 23 But He turned and said to Peter, “Get behind Me, Satan! You are an offense to Me, for you are not mindful of the things of God, but the things of men.” Matthew 16:22-23. Jesus came only to die on the c

2018 a Year to Die and Rise with Christ Everyone has the best wishes of 2018 for themselves and for some people. My wish for me this year is that I will die to myself and be identified with Christ and rise in Christ. This is a wish that I have to ask your permission before I can wish the same for you. So do you want to die to yourself this year and rise with and in Christ? Let’s take a pop quiz. Which did Jesus say? A. For where your heart is, there your treasure will be also. B. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. I can see you are confused just as I was when I took the test. Without truth, we get confused. The answer is B.
