"Whoever Hates His Brother Is A Murderer"

Dear Saints: Woo! Did you hear that? “Whoever hates his brother is a murderer”. Come on Apostle John, you are going too far. Are you saying we are all murderers because we all have hated someone at some point? I thought we only have murderers on the streets of Chicago and other major cities with gang warfare and in prisons. Apostle John, you are actually saying we have murderers in the Supreme Court, White House, Congress, Police, Courts, schools, neighborhoods, our homes and families and unfortunately in the churches and everywhere in this world? Note that Apostle John is repeating and paraphrasing Jesus who said, 21 “You have heard that it was said to those of old, ‘You shall not murder, and whoever murders will be in danger of the judgment.’ 22 But I say to you that whoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment.” Matthew 5:21-22. Let’s continue our reading and study of 1 John 3:10-15: . "10 In this the children of God and the ch

"SIN IS LAWLESSNESS"

Dear Saints: There was a big controversy this past week when Don Lemon of CNN said, “Jesus Christ, if that’s who you believe, if that’s who you believe in, admittedly was not perfect when he was here on this earth". Don said this in the context of pointing to the nation’s forefathers and the confederacy that they are not perfect. But do you see the subtlety in his dismantling of Christianity and our faith in Christ? My reaction is, did Don really say that and is he now rewriting the Bible? Many others have spoken up since this aired all over the world. Why is this a big deal? If Christ was a sinner and imperfect, then He is not God, we can’t be saved. In addition, many like Don will have ample reasons to excuse their alternative and sinful lifestyles of homosexuality and other sins. Please let us be very very clear about Christ; “In Him there is no sin”. "Let no one deceive you." Please listen to the rest of our reading of 1 John 3: 4-12: 4 Whoever commits sin

I Am A Beloved Child of God; Are You?

Dear Saints: I am a beloved child of God; Are you? If you don't know whose you are, you will not know who you are. I still remember the pain, shame, ridicule, look-down, the doubts, the anxiety, and the waiting through 15 years of infertility after marriage. It was even worse for UD my wife than for me but we both lived through it. You ask yourselves all kinds of questions such as, what did we do to deserve this? Why can’t we have a child we so desperately wanted? Eventually, God at His own time gave us a precious son, Jonathan and then a lovely daughter Grace. If you are going through infertility and/or any waiting in life at this time, please be encouraged. May God’s grace abound for you in the process. Amen. The joy of seeing Jonathan coming out of the womb and carrying him cannot be described. I was too overwhelmed and saying, this is really my child? The love expressed cannot be measured and still cannot be measured for our two children. Why? When you have paid the hig

Who Are You?

Dear Saints: We continue our study of the Letters of Apostle John. He is asking you and me; “Who Are You?” Do you know who you are? He is saying, if you don’t know who you are and what your spiritual state and stature is, then you are groping in darkness and you will stumble. It must be very clear in your mind and heart, who you are. If you don’t understand who you used to be, you cannot understand who you are today. Who are you my brother and my sister? Are you pretty sure who know you? Please read and listen carefully to Apostle John to understand and if you are a woman, please insert woman in place of man: “12 I write to you, little children, Because your sins are forgiven you for His name’s sake. 13 I write to you, fathers, Because you have known Him who is from the beginning. I write to you, young men, Because you have overcome the wicked one. I write to you, little children, Because you have known the Father. 14 I have written to you, fathers, Because you have known Him wh

"The Blood of Jesus Cleanses Us From All Sins"

Dear Saints: The best and greatest news this morning and every day is that “the blood of Jesus cleanses us from all sins”. What a gift! Here is the rest of the good news and the context: “5 This is the message which we have heard from Him and declare to you, that God is light and in Him is no darkness at all. 6 If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. 7 But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin. 8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us.” 1 John 1:5-10 Oh, I needed to hear these words this morning. Lord, I confess my sins this morning and asking you to cleanse me from eve

The Word of Life

Dear Saints. We count it all joy and rejoice today as we all are going through the trials of our faith that is producing patience in us (James 1:1). We rejoice greatly because we have the “Word of Life”, Jesus, the Eternal Life living in us and with us. Do you realize what we have? The Word of Life? This is the Word that saves us, Life Himself, the Way, and the Truth? This Word of Life is not just for us but for all. The Word of Life is the basis of any fellowship with God and with one another. You and I have been entrusted with the “Word of Life” to speak life (Jesus) into existence in another person. Please listen to apostle John, “that which we have seen and heard we declare to you, that you also may have fellowship with us; and truly our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ”. There are those who deny that Jesus came in the flesh from heaven. John is saying, “I have seen and touched Him” He is as real as can be. In this times of racial hatred and call

Jesus, the Eternal Life

Dear Saints: We have finished the study of the big John (the Gospel of John) and now let’s study the small Johns (Letters/Epistles of John). We believe the same apostle John wrote these including the book of Revelation. Apostle John wrote to expose false teachers/prophets of his day and to give believers valid assurance of their salvation. We desperately need both today. I don’t want to be deceived by the 95% non-gospel and 5% gospel messages of our day. It is still false if it is not 100% Gospel – Jesus Christ born of a virgin in the flesh, lived a righteous perfect life, crucified, died, buried, rose from the dead, ascended into heaven, interceding for us and coming back soon for His Church, His body to take us away. Here are Jesus’ own words, “ 15 “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. 16 You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thorn bushes or figs from thistles? 18 A good tree cannot bear

The "Antichrist" and "Many antichrists"?

Dear Saints: History has laundry lists of many who had been declared the Antichrist in the past and in the present. I don’t even want to name one of them. You can do your own research. But for sure, the Antichrist is coming and will come in person. He will be the “opposite” of Jesus Christ; the real One who is right now in Heaven advocating and interceding for us. There are the “many antichrists” that have come in the past and are present today in our churches and the world. The “many antichrists” are the “instead” of Christ’s spirit that are showing themselves increasingly in our culture and world today. They use the name Christ but deny His power and His Sonship and His Deity. The “many antichrists” will tell you that Jesus is not God; or He is not my race, I don't have to believe in him; or any other excuses that justifies their “instead” of Christ’s lifestyle. Let’s hear apostle John describe the two, the “Antichrist” and the “many antichrists”: “18 Little children, it

The TRUTH Is True FREEDOM For America

Dear Saints: On this Independence Day, only the TRUTH will set us free and set America free. Apostle John calls our attention to false teachers and prophets of his day. It is still the same today and falsehood has multiplied into millions by social media. We now call it “fake news”. Unfortunately, there is still fake news in the church and the world about the TRUTH of who Jesus is and His relationship with the Father. Please listen to Apostle John: "22 Who is a liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist who denies the Father and the Son. 23 Whoever denies the Son does not have the Father either; he who acknowledges the Son has the Father also. 24 Therefore let that abide in you which you heard from the beginning. If what you heard from the beginning abides in you, you also will abide in the Son and in the Father. 25 And this is the promise that He has promised us—eternal life. 26 These things I have written to you concerning those who try to deceive
