Jesus Is Coming and All Eyes Will See Him

 Dear Saints:

Jesus is Coming Soon and You will See Him!

Whether you believe, don’t believe or like or don’t like Jesus Christ, you will surely see Him. Guaranteed! This is the theme of the book of Revelation:

“7 Behold, He is coming with clouds, and every eye will see Him, even they who pierced Him. And all the tribes of the earth will mourn because of Him. Even so, Amen. “I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End,” says the Lord, “who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.” Revelation 1:7-8.

We are continuing our study of the book of Revelation (please read the entire first chapter).

Friends, we don’t have any choice or options in this matter. Every eye will see Jesus for good or for bad. Oh you may say, I don’t care. But we must care now or on that day which may be too late. The seal of heaven (the Almighty) has guaranteed Christ’s return.

Why is Jesus coming? He is coming to consolidate His ultimate victory over His enemies and to establish his kingdom on earth and in Heaven. The “Rapture” (the catching up into heaven of the Saints/Church) is implied above. This coming (verse 7 above) is the second part of His coming. In the first part, the church and the saints are already gone - raptured. See proof as Jesus encourages the Philadelphia Church:

“10 Because you have kept My command to persevere, I also will keep you from the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth. 11 Behold, I am coming quickly! Revelation 3:10-11.

Those “who pierced Him” (reference to the Jewish nation) and all people from the nations of the earth who do not believe and trust in Christ will “mourn” because judgment has come.

If you don’t believe and trust Christ now, you may be happy now but you may not be when Christ shows up.

The song: “What a happy day when Jesus comes” is only true for we believers that have trusted in Christ as Lord and Savior. It’s not going to be a happy day for billions or millions who have rejected Christ’s sacrifice on the Cross for all sins. Self-righteous (which no one has) or good works, will not stop the wrath/death from visiting those who want to plead their own case. Only the gift of God’s grace received now (Ephesians 2:8-10), through faith can anyone see God and escape the judgment that is surely coming.

What do we do in light of the greatest inevitable? We must live for Christ now and forever. We must warn all people and invite them to Jesus through the Gospel. How shall we escape if we neglect such a great salvation – Jesus Christ Himself? – Hebrews 2:3.

Note the word of encouragement for us in the present. Jesus says, “I am the Alpha the Omega”. Jesus has the first and the last words in our lives. It doesn’t matter what you are going through right now; that is not the final word. The ultimate victory is won and Jesus is coming to restore all things as intended at creation of the world. Please pray now and take your case to Jesus. Let Jesus speak peace and His final word to you in the present circumstances.

Yes. Hallelujah!  We have the greatest HOPE now and forever and the future. Amen. You can have this HOPE right now if you put your faith and trust in Jesus as Lord and Savior.

Last week, we were reminded to read, hear and do the commands of Jesus “for the time is near”. Our confession must match our conduct. Most may have heard about the sexual sins of one of our past leaders who was highly respected and admired. I was crushed and have mourned the confirmed sexual sins of Ravi Zacharias, a great Christian Apologist.

We must look unto/fix our eyes and must put our faith only in Christ who is the author and finisher of our faith (Hebrews 12:2). No human is above Christ for our example because humans fail but Christ will never fail. The Gospel remains the TRUTH in the person of Christ regardless of the preacher. We must not excuse and hide our sins. God already knows. We may need to speak to a close friend and confess our sins and be healed.

May God grant us the grace to confess, repent and forsake our sins. “If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” 1 John 1:8-9.

We are told not to grieve the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 4:30). Our deliberate and continued sins grieve the Holy Spirit. You can only grieve someone who loves you much. Lord Jesus, you love me too much. Please help me not to grieve you and bring shame to your name. Please deliver me from the evil one and his temptations. Lord, please heal those that have been sexually abused by Ravi and other ministers of the Gospel and restore them to yourself.  Please forgive us. Amen.
