TROUBLED? - BE OF GOOD CHEER!

Dear Saints: There are troubles everywhere in our individual lives, the family, the nation and the world. The latest trouble that is troubling everyone all over the world is the corona virus. It started in China and has killed many and spreading worldwide. Let us not be surprised. It is a messed up world because of our fallen nature from Adam and Eve’s sin of not trusting God. Jesus has warned us of troubles in today’s lesson and has given us great HOPE in Him. Lord, we plead that you help put a stop to this pandemic. Forgive us Lord and have mercy on this world and heal our land and people from our sins and diseases. Amen. We are studying John 16 (please read the entire chapter) and please hear Jesus: 33 “These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” John 16:33 (NKJV). 33 “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will hav...

Necessity of the Holy Spirit

Dear Saints: A Christian without the fullness of the Holy Spirit, that is being surrendered completely to the leading and guidance of the Holy Spirit is like a car that has the gas/petrol gauge on empty; it can still start, run a little bit but cannot go too far without being stranded and out of gas. You and I need the fullness of the Holy Spirit at full operation in our lives. HE IS A MUST HAVE IN OUR LIVES. Today in John 16 (please read the entire chapter), Jesus is giving the disciples the bad news and the good news; and they are distressed by the bad news. The bad news (but not really bad) is that Jesus is going away to the Father in heaven. Oh how we hate the going away and separation news in our own lives. But listen to the GOOD NEWS: “It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you. 8 And when He has come, He will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: 9 of s...

TESTIFY

Dear Saints: We have heard so much lately about “witnesses and testifying”. The U.S. Congress spent weeks arguing about testimonies and calling witness during the impeachment hearing. Who is a witness and why should a witness testify? Testify (bear witness) of what? In our study today John 15 (please read the entire chapter), Jesus states who the witnesses are and what they need to testify. “26 “But when the Helper comes, whom I shall send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father, He will testify of Me. 27 And you also will bear witness, because you have been with Me from the beginning.” John 15:26-27. Unfortunately, we have a lot of testimonies and testifying of material and perishable things. We testify about the new BMW, the new house, the new job, the social gadget and app and etc. Please don’t get me wrong, if God has blessed you say so and praise Him. But it is more that those. Oh saints, we have been called to testify. Imagine being th...

"I Chose You"

Good Morning Saints: “I chose you”. We can’t do any better than hear these three words from our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. It is very calming and disarms us from any pride and fills us with humility and gratitude. Yes, Jesus chose us and we did not chose Him. Be rest assured today and forever and bask in His everlasting love. He (Jesus) is the Vine and we are His branches and as long as we abide (dwell) in Him and His Words, we will bear fruit that remains forever. Apart from Christ, we can do absolutely nothing that is meaningful and that lasts forever; like “love one another”. I thank God for His Holy Spirit in us that loves people through us especially the unbelievers of Christ and His Gospel. Oh yes, we can cross these divides of political isles and hatred of today and love others by the power of the Holy Spirit. The Love of Christ cares for the Democrat, the Republican and the Independents. Let’s be the “Salt” and “Light of the world” that we have been ordained to be. ...
