Be Used To Save Your Village
Dear Saints:
How often do you meet someone for the first time and know exactly who he/she really is? If and when you meet Jesus for the first time, He will make Himself known to you without any shadow of doubt. That was the experience of the Samaritan woman at the well (please read again John 4:1-42). This encounter changed her forever. It also changed her acquaintances and many in her village forever.
Why was there such a great transformation in a few hours of encounter? With God, all things are possible. Let’s listen in on the conversation. “25 The woman said to Him, “I know that Messiah is coming” (who is called Christ). “When He comes, He will tell us all things.” 26 Jesus said to her, “I who speak to you am He.”
Jesus clearly made Himself know to this woman as the Messiah, the Christ, the Anointed One and the Savior of the world.
The Savior will transform you as follows: “13 Jesus answered and said to her, “Whoever drinks of this water will thirst again, 14 but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life.”
15 The woman said to Him, “Sir, give me this water, that I may not thirst, nor come here to draw.”
The offer has been made by Jesus. The woman accepted the offer. Once the Spirit of Christ comes into your life, He flows and continues to flow like a nonstop river. Wherever you go, you become a resource for Jesus who will flow into others you encounter. It is that simple and no magic. The Christ in you must transform you and me and transform lives around you. Can people see and say that you have been with Jesus?
Are you willing to be used by God? Are you willing to give him all your pains/mistakes and sins and be exposed for the purpose of healing you and others around you? To the degree of your transparency, to the same degree of transformation you will receive. Let God use your transparency and vulnerabilities to transform others around you.
You must declare to the people: “He told me all that I ever did.” And let the people around you see Jesus for themselves. “
“Now we believe, not because of what you said, for we ourselves have heard Him and we know that this is indeed the Christ, the Savior of the world.”
How has God delivered you from life of sin? Share it with others. All of us are suffering from the same sickness of sin and Jesus is the only answer. The Samaritan woman’s sins were known in the entire village, and God used her to transform most of the village. He can use you if you give Him your brokenness. Amen.
Let’s not give the people the false impression that we got it all together. No, we have met and believed and trusted the One, Jesus who has got it all together. Without the Cross of Christ, I am nothing and so are you if you believe and trust Christ. Trust Him today and help others do the same.
Are you the woman/man at the well today? Run to the arms of Jesus to be cleansed from your sin, shame and made whole. Amen.
Who will you tell of Jesus and His work in your life today and in this season? May God help you do so. Amen.
