Is There Still HOPE?

Dear Saints:

Is there still HOPE in this world of injustice, racism, diseases, hatred, brutality, hunger, corruption and etc.? Like the psalmist, I almost slipped and nearly losing HOPE,

BUT… “When I thought how to understand this, It was too painful for me—17 Until I went into the sanctuary of God; Then I understood their end... Whom have I in heaven but You? And there is none upon earth that I desire besides You. 26 My flesh and my heart fail; But God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. ” Psalm 73:16-17; 25-26.

God alone and His presence with us makes sense in these days and hours as we see the evils of human kind unfold around us. It is still “too painful for me” to watch and understand why George Floyd was pinned on his neck to die in front of the whole world. Sodom and Gomorrah is looking more saintly than our generation.

Lord, right now please allow me into your sanctuary, into your presence to see your disfigurement, your bruises, your hands and feet with nails and your sides gushing with blood. Help me to understand that I am the one who did these things to you when you did nothing evil to me but was saving me from the evil one.

Help, Help, Help me Lord to understand. Help my world and generation to understand. Save us as a people from the evil one and evil doers. Lord, please forgive me and forgive this generation for we have missed the mark of your glory. Amen.

There is still HOPE. The answer is still Jesus and His Gospel – light shining in darkness. Please encourage someone today with the HOPE in Christ alone who died for all our sins when we believe and trust Him. Lord, please comfort George Floyd's family and all that grieve today. Lord, please also forgive the four police men and grant them grace to believe and have their sins and guilt washed away by the blood of Jesus. Do you have HOPE in Jesus?

Yes, it is still painful.God will wipe all our tears and our pains will be no more in Christ. For now, Jesus "there is none upon earth that I desire besides You."
Psalm 73: 1-9

Truly God is good to Israel, To such as are pure in heart. 2 But as for me, my feet had almost stumbled; My steps had nearly slipped. 3 For I was envious of the boastful,

When I saw the prosperity of the wicked. 4 For there are no pangs in their death, But their strength is firm. 5 They are not in trouble as other men, Nor are they plagued like other men.
6 Therefore pride serves as their necklace; Violence covers them like a garment.

7 Their eyes bulge with abundance; They have more than heart could wish. 8 They scoff and speak wickedly concerning oppression; They speak loftily. 9 They set their mouth against the heavens, And their tongue walks through the earth.
