Freely You Received, Freely give out the Gospel

Freely You Received, Freely give out the Gospel We continue from Matthew chapter 9, where Jesus saw the crowd and had “compassion” on them because they were like “sheep without the Great shepherd- Jesus”. Without Jesus you don’t have any life and the end is hell. This is the sum of it all but sorry for the bluntness. Jesus had asked the disciples to pray to the Lord of harvest to send out laborers into the field of harvest of souls. Now in chapter 10, Jesus turns and sends out the disciples. We are the answers to the prayers of Jesus. We are His laborers for the harvest. Jesus says to us, you have “Freely you have received, freely give” Matthew 10:8. We have freely received the gospel –Jesus himself, we must freely give Jesus to others. “8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9 not of works, lest anyone should boast. 10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand tha...

The Laborers are Few

The Laborers are Few Jesus gave us a prayer to pray and we are the answers to the prayer. If you don’t see yourself as an answer to this prayer, then you should not pray it. There are few times when Jesus asks us to pray and this is one of them and it is very important to Him because that is why He left heaven and came to earth to die. Here is Jesus plea to you and me: “But when He (Jesus) saw the multitudes, He was moved with compassion for them, because they were weary[f] and scattered, like sheep having no shepherd. 37 Then He said to His disciples, “The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few. 38 Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.” Matthew 9:36-38 Like Jesus, are you “moved with compassion” when you see a Muslim, a Hindu, a None Religious of USA/the West or any other person who does not know Jesus and have not trusted in Him as Lord and Savior? They are headed to hell if they refuse to trust in Jesus the Savior. May God...

Your Sins Are Forgiven You - Happy Easter!

Your Sins Are Forgiven You What a relief to hear these words! These are the words of Jesus to the paralytic. Friend, it does not matter what disease or problem you may have today. Even and when you are healed and the Lord solves all your problems, the greatest that will happen to you and that will be said to you is “Your sins are forgiven you”. Let’s us rejoice this Easter as we celebrate Christ’s resurrection that secured and validated our forgiveness from sins. Since He lives we also will live forever because, our sins are forgiven us forever. The paralytic was not able to get to Jesus but his friends brought (carried) him to Jesus. Will you today and for this season carry/bring someone to Jesus? This is the love we owe to all. We must tell people about Jesus so that they can equally have the opportunity to meet Christ and accept His unconditional love. Carry people to God in prayer and also tell them the good news of their sins being forgiven because Christ paid for all of it ...

Why Are You Afraid?

Why are you afraid? Casting Crown has a new song born out of an encounter with cancer. It says, “Oh my soul you are not alone. There’s a place where fear has to face the God you know”. When will your fear of whatever face the God you know? It is either your fear is bigger than the God you know. Or your God is bigger than the fear you face right now. Take your fear to God in prayer right now. The disciples of Jesus were confronted with their greatest fear – death. Jesus told them, ““Why are you fearful, O you of little faith?” Matthew 8:26 What are the waves and winds blowing on you or around you these days - unsaved loved ones, ill health, struggling marriage, children rebellion, debt, betrayal etc.? Remember, Jesus is in the boat with you and you cannot perish. Who can separate us from the love of God that is in Christ? Not even death itself. Let’s give this great hope to many that don’t have it because they do not have a relationship with Jesus. We must tell them the gos...

Love Your Enemies - True Valentine!

Love Your Enemies - True Valentine! Many who see my son Jonathan often would say ‘he looks like you’ and he really does. Of course, I love to hear that Jonathan looks like me. Our heavenly Father is asking that we look like him in our everyday living and loving. “Love your enemies![r] Pray for those who persecute you! 45 In that way, you will be acting as true children of your Father in heaven” Matthew 5:44. Is it possible to love your enemies? Yes, only when we understand that God loved us even when we were His enemies. “But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners” Romans 5:8. Only a new life in Christ can give us the power to love our enemies. Remember Christ died for all sinners not just those who now believe and have trusted Him as savior. Jesus said, "Father, forgive them for they do not know what they do". Luke 23:34. Matthews 5:33-48 (NLT) 43 “You have heard the law that says, ‘Love your neighbor’[q] and hate ...

Get off the Mind Couch - You Salt & LIght

Get off the Mind Couch You Are Salt and Light Have you thought of yourself being added to a boiling soup to make it sweet for those who will eat it? Have you also thought of yourself as a cold freezer to store and preserve food otherwise it will go very bad? Have you thought of yourself to be light that shines in darkness to help people see and at the same time make them uncomfortable because of the brightness of your light? These are exactly what Jesus is saying in Matthew 5. May Jesus help us to understand what He expects of us because of His Holy Spirit that lives in us, so we can do something. Matthew 5: 13 “You are the salt of the earth. But what good is salt if it has lost its flavor? Can you make it salty again? It will be thrown out and trampled underfoot as worthless. 14 “You are the light of the world—like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden.15 No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to ev...

BLESSED ARE YOU IN 2017!

BLESSED ARE YOU IN 2017! We begin the New Year 2017 in the beatitudes as we continue our study of Mathew 5. We are wishing everyone “Happy New Year!” What do we really mean? And what is “Happy”? The Words of Jesus “Blessed are you” in the Beatitudes can also mean “Happy are you!” We all want to be happy and blessed this year. But take a look at the lists of people who are blessed according to Jesus: Matthew 5 The Beatitudes: “One day as he saw the crowds gathering, Jesus went up on the mountainside and sat down. His disciples gathered around him, 2 and he began to teach them. 3 “God blesses those who are poor and realize their need for him,[a] for the Kingdom of Heaven is theirs. 4 God blesses those who mourn, for they will be comforted. 5 God blesses those who are humble, for they will inherit the whole earth. 6 God blesses those who hunger and thirst for justice, for they will be satisfied. 7 God blesses those who are merciful, for they will be shown mercy. 8 God blesses thos...
