God's ROI in 2015
God’s ROI in 2015
Let’s change the conversation. If God has allowed us into 2015, what is his expected Return on Investment (ROI) in our lives? Anyone employing resources and talents expects some handsome return. Is God any different? In China 35 people went to celebrate and usher in the New Year 2015 but did not make it. There was a massive stampede and 35 people died and about 40 others with serious injuries. If God has allowed us the grace into 2015, He must have a plan and purpose for Himself.
In this New Year most of what we hear and we repeat is me, me, me. What will I accomplish for me in this year? There are proclamations such as “this is my year of abundance and I will claim it”. It is all fine, as long as whatever we accomplish is for the One who invested in us.
At the end of 2015 and at the end of life there is only one thing we want to hear. “Well done, good and faithful servant”. Let’s begin now to ask God what will make Him say that of me at the end of 2015 and end of my life. God is after “the least of these” - his children. I believe when we look out for the least of these, He will say to us good and faithful servant.
Can God count on you and me to reach one of His children in 2015? Some of his children have not yet come to Him. Can God count on you to be part of His process of calling His child back to himself? God is looking for Ambassadors and Intercessors who will plead on his behalf and make God known to those who do not yet know Him. God allows an intercessor to see disorder but not for criticism but to plead to God on behalf of the person God brings his or her way. Let’s give God’s abundant grace he has given us to others. Let’s love and forgive all in 2015 as He has done for us.
For us to be a good ROI for God in 2015, we must stop focusing on us and me and have the focus on God to seek him first and his righteousness. It will require that our highest prayer be:
17 That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, 18 the eyes of your understanding[c] being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, 19 and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power 20 which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, 21 far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come” Ephesians 1:17-21.
Let all you seek this year be God Himself not just his hands. Let’s seek His face and his hands come along. Let him reveal himself to you and fill you and me with his Holy Spirit so we are “16 redeeming the time, because the days are evil... but understand what the will of the Lord is”
I pray this prayer over us this year 2015:
16 that He (God) would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man, 17 that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, 18 may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height— 19 to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. Ephesians 3:16-19.
Lord thank you for this year and help me to know you more and bring you joy and glory throughout 2015.
Happy Return on God’s Investment in you in 2015.
