"The Blood of Jesus Cleanses Us From All Sins"
Dear Saints:
The best and greatest news this morning and every day is that “the blood of Jesus cleanses us from all sins”. What a gift! Here is the rest of the good news and the context:
“5 This is the message which we have heard from Him and declare to you, that God is light and in Him is no darkness at all. 6 If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. 7 But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.
8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us.” 1 John 1:5-10
Oh, I needed to hear these words this morning. Lord, I confess my sins this morning and asking you to cleanse me from every unrighteousness. Help me to walk in your light and not in darkness. Please expose every darkness in my life and help me to live in you, the TRUTH. Yes, I sin but I thank you that sin does not have “dominion” or “rule” over my life because you live in me. Deliver me from every habitual practice of sin as a lifestyle. Thank you Jesus.
What a guilt erased and burden of sin lifted when I come to the light of Jesus. Many around us are dying in guilt and shame as we speak. May we offer them Jesus who cleanses from every unrighteousness. Amen. Do you know someone who really needs the weight of sin lifted? Pray for them and offer them hope in Christ. Do you need the weight and guilt of sin lifted? Please cry out to God, He hears and answers. Amen.
