The "Antichrist" and "Many antichrists"?
Dear Saints:
History has laundry lists of many who had been declared the Antichrist in the past and in the present. I don’t even want to name one of them. You can do your own research. But for sure, the Antichrist is coming and will come in person. He will be the “opposite” of Jesus Christ; the real One who is right now in Heaven advocating and interceding for us.
There are the “many antichrists” that have come in the past and are present today in our churches and the world. The “many antichrists” are the “instead” of Christ’s spirit that are showing themselves increasingly in our culture and world today. They use the name Christ but deny His power and His Sonship and His Deity.
The “many antichrists” will tell you that Jesus is not God; or He is not my race, I don't have to believe in him; or any other excuses that justifies their “instead” of Christ’s lifestyle. Let’s hear apostle John describe the two, the “Antichrist” and the “many antichrists”:
“18 Little children, it is the last hour; and as you have heard that the Antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come, by which we know that it is the last hour. 19 They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would have continued with us; but they went out that they might be made manifest, that none of them were of us.
20 But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and you know all things. 21 I have not written to you because you do not know the truth, but because you know it, and that no lie is of the truth.
22 Who is a liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist who denies the Father and the Son. 23 Whoever denies the Son does not have the Father either; he who acknowledges the Son has the Father also.” 1 John 2:18-23.
Notice that John said the Antichrist is “coming” but the “many antichrists have come”. Do you know any “many antichrists”? They used to be on fire for Jesus but now they are setting Jesus and His Church on fire by their words and actions. I am almost sure that any reading this will not be the “Antichrist”. But people reading this could be the “many antichrists”. I am not wishing that on you or on myself but if you are not truly “in Christ” then you can be among the “many antichrists”. This Letter of John is a warning and a look-out for all of us.
If you are “in Christ” you will have the Holy Spirit living in you and “ 16 The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, 17 and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together.” Romans 8:16-17.
You will definitely know if you belong to Christ. If you have any doubt, then, repent of your sins and right now ask Jesus to come into your and fill you with His Holy Spirit.
Notice also that John tells his readers that they are in the “last hour”. That was 2000 years ago. Does that mean that we are in the last minutes or seconds now? Do we have the sense of urgency and expectation of the very soon return of Jesus? If we do, then let’s live accordingly.
The "last hour", should manifest in our love for one another and love for the unsaved. This “world fun party” is coming to the end very soon. Can you see it? Please warn and tell all about the true Jesus and His Gospel, and His ultimate atonement for sins of the whole world. Amen
THE "LAST HOUR" MEANS THAT IT CAN NEVER BE BUSINESS AS USUAL FOR YOU AND ME. Lord, please help us, we pray. Please Lord, draw to yourself as many as you have destined for salvation in this "last hour" and use us in the process. Amen.

But people reading this could be the “many antichrists”. I am not wishing that on you or on myself but if you are not truly “in Christ” then you can be among the “many antichrists”. If you are “in Christ” you will have the Holy Spirit living in you and “ 16 The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, 17 and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together.” Romans 8:16-17.
